Warrior Cats of the Shining Lake (commonly referred to as 'Shining Lake') is an Moderately Advanced RPG site. We may be going advanced, not yet. You don't have to have read all the books of the Warriors/The New Prophecy/Power of Three/Manga to join, though we want you to have read at least the first one in the first series (Warriors: Into the Wild) to join. Please, read the rules before making a bio or RPing. If you don't, or commit something against the rules, we will use our wonderful Banning System on you. There is no full-forum plot, but mini-plots are welcomed. We still have about a million high-ranks (not including Clan) open, so check those out too, and we hope you enjoy your look around or your stay!

Clan News: There are wolves on the Clan's territory - specifically, DarkClan's. They take prey from the already barren territories - though some of their prey is big enough that the cats can't hunt and eat it anyways.
There is none! D8 I know, mind-boggling, isn't it? Well, we had a poll, and we decided that because of the hassle creating plots and then getting them started was, we wouldn't have one. Of course, mini-plots aren't banned or anything, so go right ahead and make as many of those for your characters as you want.

GustClan Territories (4 sub-boards) The GustClan territory consists mainly of moorland, and is filled with rabbits. They are the closest to the Moonoak, but farthest from Four Pines. DarkClan Territories (5 sub-boards) During the day, the DarkClan territory looks the same as any other pine forests and marshlands found in the world. But as dusk descends, the shadows lengthen, and the pine forest begins to look stark and forbidding. The marshes are hidden and any unwary traveler can fall in and die if they do not know where the safe islands of land are. This is DarkClan's home, and they want it no other way. Moderator: Runner

SunClan
SunClan Camp (8 sub-boards) SunClan cats live nearest to the lake. Their camp is found, as was with their old ancestors, on a small island between a fast running, kind of wide, creek. The island is quite large, and has a willow tree, rushes, and cattails on it, as well as some water voles and birds. Moderators: [ c o u r a g e ], --Kay.Cee.
SunClan Territories (5 sub-boards) The SunClan territory has the most running water in it than any of the other Clans. This is also the most prey-rich territory of all the Clans, as the running water and the protection that the willow trees give is benificial to prey. Moderators: [ c o u r a g e ], --Kay.Cee.

LightningClan
LightningClan Camp (8 sub-boards) A large, spacious area surrounded by old oak trees, the LightningClan camp allows plenty of light to filter down into the ground below. Thorns and old fallen trees serve as comfortable dens, and it is rare that the fresh-kill pile is not full. Moderator: Sandstar

LightningClan Territory (6 sub-boards) The LightningClan territory is a wide, spacious place, mainly under the protection of large descidious trees. Some evergreens are found in this forest, too, and only recede near the borders and by the lakeside. Nearest to the mountains where the Tribe of Rushing Water live. Moderator: Sandstar

The Lake
The Shining Lake All of the Clan's are situated around the Shining Lake. The lake was named because of the oddity that, even with cloud cover, parts of the lake still seem to "shine" with an uneartly glow. The lake is very large. Occasionally two-legs come down during green-leaf and traverse the lake in their boats, but hardly ever. All the Clans can post around here; just specify which Clan you are in in the subject title [i.e. The s.t.a.r.s shine [above] -- darkclan -- open] and, when describing, keep in mind that the edges of the lake are slightly boggy. StarClan
StarClan Camp (4 sub-boards) The StarClan camp is a camp fit for cats of each Clan. Running water for SunClan, open spaces for GustClan, trees for Lightning and DarkClan, each Clan has its own space in the StarClan camp. However, when cats join StarClan, they must leave old grudges behind, and the camp styled to different Clan's tastes is for comfort only.

The Star Territories (5 sub-boards) Each Clan has their own "space" - in a way, their territory. The territories are located just outside of the camp border, and are suited for each Clan's different tastes and needs (like the camp). Each Clan, however, is allowed to go freely in the other Star Territories (as its called). The whole StarClan grounds are referred to, however, as Silverpelt.

Loners | Rouges | Kittypets
Loner Territories (3 sub-boards) The territories of the loners can be in the territory of a Clan, if they aren't chased out first, or the outskirts of the territories. Like Barley and Ravenpaw, they can live on a two-leg farm, but they must be independent and have no ties to anybody except perhaps their mates and close friends (ex. Barley and Ravenpaw).

Rogue Territories (3 sub-boards) There are many bands of rogues, but there are only three main ones. These three live along an old, deserted Thunderpath just outside of LightningClan territory. Near two-legs, the rogues are able to scrounge what they need from them. The three main groups are: Bone, Predator, and Snake.

Kittypet Territories (3 sub-boards) Found in the two-leg "camps" and other small "dens" around the surrounding area, Kittypets are considered the lowest of the low. Their main territory is their home; other than that, they go to and fro as they please. But be careful, all Clan cats - twoleg camps are easy to get lost in, and some kittypets can be very aggressive...

Tribe of Rushing Water
ToRW Cave (8 sub-boards) The cave in which the Tribe of Rushing Water (ToRW for short) live in has been their home since forever. They never moved, not since the Clans have come through ever so long ago on the Great Journey up to now. The cave's entrance is hard to find, hidden behind the waterfall, and the noise inside is defeaning to Clan cats. The Tribe, however, is used to such noise and it affects them not at all.

ToRW Territories (4 sub-boards) At first glance, one word sums up the Tribe of Rushing Water's territory. Mountains. But, when examined closely, it isn't all mountains: there a small patches where grass grows, drifts of snow where it never disappears, small, private little places tucked away into the nooks and crannies of the mountains. The Tribe cats love their territory, and no matter how unsuitable it is for Clan life they always will.

Wolf Pack
Wolf Pack Den (4 sub-boards) In DarkClan territory, there are a series of caves in which animals of all sorts can hide. Dank and musty, they are ideal for any dangerous, predatory animal to live in. There are many of these caves, though only a few are suitable for large animals to live in.

Wolf Pack Territories (5 sub-boards) The Wolf Pack lives in a far away territory, far enough away that the Clans have never heard, let alone seen, it. But while they are here, fighting the Clans, their territories have no boundaries except for the ones already set down by the Clans. But occasionally they travel past these pre-marked boundaries, and roam as they please, always returning to the rest of the Pack at dawn.

The Hunt (2 sub-boards) The Hunt are the Wolves' ancestors. They go where the wolves go, tread where the wolves tread, and are considered by the mortal pack to be like gods. They never rest in one place for so long, and often race across the sky, searing fiery trails across the night. Sometimes they will find another starry animal of some kind, and chase it until dawn. Never do they grow tired, or old. Instead, they run across the sky, thus becoming... The Hunt.

Contact: The Divines
Moon Oak The Moon Oak is the place where cats come to speak to StarClan. The Moon Oak is an old oak tree on the very edge of GustClan territory. A large hole in the trunk allows cats to climb inside and touch their noses to the inside of the trunk. A split in the side of the tree allows moonlight and sunlight to penetrate the inside. The Clans.

Flat Island The gathering place is in the Shining Lake, and is on a large, remote island near the center of the lake. A two-leg bridge, long sinced deserted, spans the dark waters from the mainland to the island. In the island, there a few bushes and grass, but mostly the island is bare of any plant life. In the very center of the island, there is a pool. In the pool, four small, seperate mounds of land serve as a place where the leaders can stand to give annoucements, while the Clans stand around the pool.

Cave of Pointed Stones The Cave of Pointed Stones is in a remote section of the Tribe's cave, off down a small corridor that is guarded at all times by cave-gaurds. Inside, a hole in the ceiling provides light. Both the floor and ceiling are covered with stalactites and stalagmites, and pools of water have gathered from the rain and condensation. It is in these pools that the Stoneteller reads the Tribe of Endless Hunting's wishes.

Rusted Spire The Rusted Spire stands in the middle of the Meeting Cave, a large, pointed thing. The tip of the spire is a rusty dark red, from what is rumored to be blood. When it is time to meet with The Hunt, the alpha and beta males and females lay with their heads resting towards the spire in a four-pointed square, like a compass. The alpha male must stab himself on the tip of the spire and let the blood run down the length of the rock before they can recieve messages from their ancestors.
